The Ferrara Regional Agreement is based on an agreement between different local stakeholders (enterprises, Local Authorities, industrial and trade associations, etc.) with the aim to identify shared development objectives, by implementing integrated programmes encompassing manufacturing and infrastructure development activities.
It is intended as a mechanism to support private and public investments, made by the SMEs located in the Objective 2 area and by the Local Authorities.
SIPRO is the lead partner in the management of this tool. It manages relations between enterprises and the Ministry for Manufacturing Activities and it carries out monitoring and adjustment activities.
The first project funding phase has just been concluded. It has involved 18 enterprises, with a total investment of about 23.4 million euros and a grant of about 2.8 million euros, which has led to the creation of about 250 new jobs.
The second call for proposals has just taken place, upon the publication concerning the resources to be reused after the adjustment process.
18 enterprises from the manufacturing and tourism sectors have participated in the second call for proposals, amounting to a total of about 60 million Euros.
