-Carry out an analysis on the innovative sectors in the Province of Ferrara

-Analyse the advanced service demand process triggered off by the development of innovative sectors

-Identify the employment trends in the innovative sectors in the medium term

-Define the occupational profiles to be employed in the innovative manufacturing sectors in the medium term

Phase 1 – Methodology and sharing of the approach
Sharing of the project methodology through the setting up of a project Committee including the Province of Ferrara, the Municipality of Ferrara, the Municipalities Associations, the Chamber of Commerce, Trade Associations, the University, Professional Associations, ADI and Trade Unions

Phase 2 – Survey and collection of data on the innovative enterprise system in the Province of Ferrara
Gathering of quantitative data using available national, regional and local databases. This phase of the project shall be devoted to the setting up of a computerized database. .

Phase 3 – Qualitative analysis to define innovative sectors’ perspectives in the medium term
Drafting and administration of a questionnaire to a sample of interviewees selected among enterprises belonging to innovative sectors and to privileged institutional representatives.

Phase 4 – Needs analysis in the innovative sectors
On the basis of the results obtained during Phases 2 e 3 innovative professional skills shall be identified and outlined.

The research is intended to achieve tangible and practical results:

-Mapping the geographical positions of emerging innovative sectors within the Province of Ferrara

-Define the entity of sectors (number of local units, number of employees, turnover brackets)

-Define their historical evolution (data comparison in a certain time frame)
